Before we go into what we’ve done with Independent Utilities, would you like to save money on your utilities? Ok, we recommend you speak to IU. The Duke of Cornwall Hotel did and saved £25,000. Plymouth Argyle FC slashed their bills through IU too. Visit www.independentutilities.co.uk and benefit straight away.
Meanwhile we’ve just developed a new brand identity and website for the region’s largest independent utility broker. Joedy Lawrence, Director of Independent Utilities said: “We have ambitious plans to grow the business and wanted to work with an agency to take us to the next level. We were approached by a number of companies but Fuel’s desire to work with us stood out right from the first meeting. So far they have come up with a tremendous new brand identity, website and have work hard behind the scenes to ensure we get maximum value out of our new deal sponsorship deal with Plymouth Argyle. We look forward to working with the Fuel team on an ongoing retainer arrangement.”
The Barbican Jazz Café, one of Plymouth’s most established entertainment venues came to us to help them develop a new brand identity and website. The venue has been re-named the Barbican Live Lounge to coincide with a drive to begin appealing to a younger audience with a wider range of music genres on the gig list.
Our brief was to develop a new brand identity and website to appeal to this audience but at the same time be mindful of an already loyal customer base’s taste.
Steve Constantinou, owner of the Live Lounge said: “Fuel has really put us on the map again in the Barbican. They really understood what we are trying to achieve here and translated it into a truly vibrant design. The signage alone has increased footfall significantly."
Our first birthday party at the Barbican Live Lounge was certainly an evening to remember (or maybe not judging by conversations with some of our clients the following morning…)
Over 100 clients and advisers joined us at the newly branded venue enjoyed some live music courtesy of The Vibes and soon discovered they were part of a surprise awards ceremony.
Hosts King and Gyseman (they would say Ant & Dec, guest feedback suggested Cannon & Ball!) took great pleasure in sharing their ‘alternative’ thoughts on Fuel’s first year in business giving out bottles of bubbly for prizes such as “Prostitution in the name of PR” and “person who turns up to the opening of an envelope.” Surprisingly some clients were very disappointed they didn’t win anything! There’s always next year…
Fuel have once again given their support to St Luke’s Hospice by design their promotional materials for the forthcoming Midnight Walk, this follows on from the assistance that we gave for St Luke’s spectacular ‘One to Remember’ Fashion Show back in April.
Fuel Director Steve Gyseman commented: “As a company it has always been our desire to try and give something back by supporting a local charity. St Luke’s do an amazing job and we are delighted to support them. Every year they have to raise a huge amount of money and we want to help them do this”.
Fuel’s assistance has really helped to increase the profile of some key fundraising events. Events Fundraiser Amie Kidd, said: “Fuel’s help has been fantastic. They have supported us a great deal and we are delighted with the quality of the design work that they have done for us. The Midnight Walk is a great fundraiser for us, one of our highest profile events of the year”.
