Plymouth based training provider Accountancy Plus is celebrating further recognition of its services to students and management skills after being awarded the nationally recognised Matrix Standard.
The standard, which was introduced by the Department for Innovation, Universities and Schools, is a recognised quality mark for all companies who provide information, advice and guidance.
The award follows an 18 month process comprising of eight elements including planning, information, marketing, resources, feedback and continuous improvement , a 2 day on site inspection and interviews with its 22 staff and with students enrolled on A+ courses.
The Matrix report described the company as having, “a strong focus on the needs of learners,” and that, “A+ has experienced significant growth in recent years.” It also states that, according to learners and employers, “A+ is the Rolls Royce of providers.”
“We are delighted to receive the Matrix Standard which recognises the fact that we are delivering high quality courses for people in employment, school leavers and mature learners throughout the region,” said Simon Deane, Managing Director of Accountancy Plus. “The Standard not only recognises our work to date but it also helps us to plan for the future and ensure we continue to assist our students and staff in building successful careers,” he added.
The new standard is the latest in a long line for The Millfields based business, which delivers accountancy, IT and business administration training from 6 locations in the South West. In addition to being IIP accredited, the company is the only training provider in the South West to be recognised by the Learning & Skills Council as a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in Accounting. It was also praised in a report by the Adult Learning Inspectorate as “one of the best training providers in the country.”
