20 October 09 - SSG Expands Training Facilities

Local Health and Safety firm SSG Training and Consultancy are bucking the current economic trend and opening two brand new training suites at their head office in Valley Road, Plympton.

The company which is firmly established as one of the regions leading providers of health and safety services, have opened the new suites in line with current expansion plans. Despite the recent economic downturn SSG have remained extremely busy and their new plans enable them to accommodate the increasing number of delegates attending some of their key courses.

Mark Salmon, Managing Director of SSG believes the company’s continued expansion highlights not only the company’s commitment to increased training provision but also how local based firms continue to prioritise health and safety training as part of their growth plans. ‘Westcountry firms are very aware of their responsibilities for providing a safe place of work. Recent high profile cases along with changes to legislation including Corporate Manslaughter have highlighted the damaging impact neglecting health and safety can have on a company. Many Westcountry firms have a good understanding of their health and safety responsibilities and the level of employee training that is required.’

‘We have been delivering training courses in Plymouth, Camborne and Bristol for over 15 years and have steadily increased delegate numbers during this time. As our courses become busier and busier, and as our portfolio of services grow, we have needed to expand our facilities. The rooms are already filling up between now and December and in 2010 we are once again expanding our portfolio of services so no doubt we will continue to be full from January onwards!’

The rooms, which have all recently been refurbished, are also available for hire for meetings, presentations, training or conferences at competitive rates.
