The Fuel HQ is located within the tranquil and historic surroundings of Plymouth’s Crownhill Fort. The Fort is steeped in history, originally built around the 1860s to protect Plymouth from a possible overland northern French attack, and has been involved in most major British military operations until the MOD sold The Fort to the Land Trust in 1987, where they set about restoring The Fort to its former glory.
If you’ve never had the pleasure of visiting this charming and beautiful landscape let us give you the load-down: 16 acres with half a mile of underground tunnels and 4 fighting levels. The Fort can hold a total of 32 cannons and 6 mortars – most of those still surviving are in perfect working order, so you’ve been warned! Oh yeah, and that’s not even counting the awesome moat and bridge…
